The investment industry and the many different aspects of personal finance has always interested me. Through extensive research and reading, I am always trying to find new ways of adding value for my clients. Many people get caught up in the endless noise of financial markets. By helping them define what’s most important – whether it be financial independence, family legacy or charitable giving – I can help clear their financial path.
I graduated from the University of Saskatchewan in 1996 with a Bachelor of Commerce. I subsequently earned my Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation in 2005 and more recently the Trust and Estate Planning (TEP) designation in 2018. For over 15 years I was the Private Wealth Counsellor for Canada Life and had the opportunity to work with well-established advisors from across western Canada as a Private Wealth Counsellor working exclusively with high net-worth individuals. Together we developed investment strategies, portfolio construction and estate planning opportunities for a wide range of clientele. Recently I have made the decision to partner in my own financial practice with Navigate Wealth Services.
As a captain on a sports team I’ve learned the best way to lead is by example. Over the years of playing hockey and baseball have taught me the value of cooperation, dedication and loyalty born of working together. As for my personal life, I cherish time with my family, my wife Kasia, and our two teenage daughters Alex and Sarah.
